Sales Operations Manager - India

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will lead and oversee the India Operations function, ensuring seamless execution of processes, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement to support business growth. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of sales operations to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence across all operational activities.

Position Responsibilities:

Sales Support & Collaboration
•Partner closely with the Country Head, Product Managers, and Sales Leaders to support and exceed sales targets.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and Service teams to enable strategic execution.
•Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for sales processes (direct and indirect), driving operational excellence from lead to order.
•Support tender and GeM-related processes in collaboration with business teams.
•Work collaboratively with operations teams globally to align operational goals and enhance overall sales effectiveness

Strategic Planning & Analytics
•Lead the monthly forecasting, estimating, and business planning processes, aligning projections with revenue and volume goals.
•Provide strategic data analysis to Country Head and Cluster Business Managers to support quality decision-making and identify growth opportunities, risks, and trends.
•Ensure accurate reporting of performance metrics and deliver insightful dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Channel Management
•Facilitate the Channel recruitment and termination processes in accordance with corporate guidelines
•Oversee the Contracts renewal process of Channel and OEM to ensure timely compliance.
•Administering the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Partnership Plans process for Channel Partners.
•Manage communication rollouts to Channel Partners as needed
•Collaborate with the business for Channel product pricing updation and roll out to Channel Partners.

Team Lead
•Provide leadership and direction to the operations team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives

Process Optimization & Systems Integration
•Engage with global systems teams, Business team, and Shared Service Centers to ensure seamless sales process execution.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen, or other relevant methodologies to enhance operational processes,
•Align and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to eliminate redundancies and streamline operations.

Compensation Plan Administration
•Collaborate with the Regional Compensation Manager to design and finalize annual compensation plans for the India cluster.
•Establish annual sales targets for the sales team within the compensation systems and distribute individual plan documents to each team member.
•Ensure accurate calculation and verification of sales incentive payouts

Project management
•Handle specific projects as identified by the International Sales Enablement Manager for Business Growth, improving Sales effectiveness and driving productivity

Required Skills & Education:

•Master’s degree in business, Operations, or a related field;
•Minimum 12 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a sales-driven organization.
•Proven experience with forecasting, business analytics, and process optimization.
•Strong knowledge of CRM, ERP (preferably SAP), and performance management tools.
•Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team.
•Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability to anticipate issues, work proactively to address potential problems and design solutions
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
•Strategic thinking: ability to fully understand and contribute to regional strategies and drive performance in line with these strategies
•Strong team-player and driver
