Compensation

$115,000 - $150,000 *This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

The Product Line Manager is a global position with responsibility for all aspects of Radiographic Imaging products/solutions, from the development of roadmap strategies through the delivery of business results.  The PLM is the primary product/solution strategist and is responsible for understanding market needs, developing product/solution roadmaps, commercializing a product/solution and launching products/solutions to the market to achieve business results.   Ideally, candidates should be geographically located on the East Coast.  

The PLM is part of the product development team and works with a broad network of Carestream colleagues covering all disciplines and all locations.  The role works effectively using guidance and influence to affect change and improvement. Defining the customer requirements for new products by using their experience and knowledge.

 

Position Responsibilities:

•    Understand the market trend and be able to interpret the market data for product strategy. 
•    Develop competitive landscape and analysis on products features & functions. 
•    Develop business case for new products and product roadmaps based on competitiveness, technology and industry trend.       
•    Create customer requirements documents for new product introductions.         
•    Implement product strategy and GTM strategy, own quoting tools setup with catalogs and description and support sales team with product knowledge training. 
•    Launch new products/solutions to the global market to reach the business objectives. 
•    Manage product/solution discontinuance as part of the product life cycle management.
•    Work with product director to achieve product P&L goal.
•    Own end-to-end product performance including quality and financial metrics.
•    Works closely with the business and commercial teams to gather and understand customer needs, pain points and desired gains and reflect in the development of our value proposition.
•    Partner with Product Marketing Manager and regional business manager in the support of all commercial activities.
•    Coordinates with multiple discipline as required to drive completion of projects as needed.
•    Product documentation - may include quick reference cards, software guides, hardware guides, safety and regulatory guides and training material.
 

Required Skills & Education:

Education and Experience 
•    Bachelor’s degree a technical field (medical or biotech preferred), with an MBA preferred
•    Medical Industry experience with 5 years in medical device product development or management or other related background. 
•    Understanding clinical applications of medical imaging equipment. 
•    Understanding of computer information exchanges, preferably  health care informatics, such as IHE, HL7, DICOM, EMR, Billing Systems and Practice Management Systems. 
•    Ability to access the competitive landscape: key competitive players in key countries, and its business models, product, and market strategy. 
•    Ability to create a winning strategy for a product or portfolio by thorough competitive analysis: targeted customer segments, pricing positioning, cost positioning, and business model including channel strategy. 
•    Ability to make priority decisions on key product/portfolio attributes (features, cost, quality, time to market) 
•    Ability to project business results with early indicators of both internal sales force effectiveness and external market dynamics, and ability to deploy countermeasures to achieve the business results. 
•    Ability to lead cross-functional teams from product development, manufacturing to sales and service. 
•    Ability to lead global teams across different geographic areas. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively with customers to understand and anticipate their needs – both obvious and subtle. 
•    Ability to influence and present information to all levels of the organization.

Skills & Competencies
