Compensation $102,000 to $128,000 and a $10,000 sign on bonus depending on exp.
*This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Finance Manager - Operation at Carestream is responsible for preparing, analyzing, forecasting and presenting monthly. quarterly and yearly financial data including department expenses, production variances and Unit Manufacturing Costs (UMC). The Assistant Finance Manage is a committed member of the operational team and proactively provides financial data and participates in business decisions making. Additionally, the Assistant Finance Manager is an integral member of the site and Worldwide Manufacturing Finance Team in learning and sharing the financial process knowledge.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report production costs at standard and actual and provide explanations as products move through the supply chain.
- Analyze and report production variances including price variance, material variance and labor/burden spend and volume variances and the impact on the UMC.
- Assist with developing quarterly forecasts, the annual Operating Plan and the three-year Annual Strategic Review for assigned operational areas to include labor, overhead and materials.
- Develop item level standard costs in SAP.
- Key member of the operations teams to provide strong business strategy support.
- Member of manufacturing fi nance team, collaborating to provide appropriate business support, learning and sharing best practices, striving for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal control standards and SOX requirements and participate with audits.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Required Skills & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 5+ years of related General Ledger Accounting work experience ideally including Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP including product costing, inventory valuation and fixed assets.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams through financial analysis
- Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to effectively interpret and report on financial performance of operational results.
