The Operations Assistant Finance Manager at Carestream is responsible for preparing, analyzing, forecasting and presenting monthly, quarterly and yearly financial data including department expenses, production variances and Unit Manufacturing Costs (UMC). The Assistant Finance Manager is a committed member of the operational team and proactively provides financial data and participates in business decision making.  Additionally, the Assistant Finance Manager is an integral member of the site and Worldwide Manufacturing Finance team in learning and sharing of financial process knowledge.

Position Responsibilities:

•             Analyze and report production costs at standard and actual and provide explanations as products move through the supply chain

•             Analyze and report production variances including price variance, material variance and labor/burden spend and volume variance and the impacts on the UMC

•             Assist with developing quarterly forecasts, the Annual Operating Plan and three-year Annual Strategic Review for assigned operational areas to include labor, overhead and materials cost

•             Develop item level standard costs in SAP

•             Key member of the operations teams to provide strong business strategy support

•             Member of manufacturing finance team, collaborating to provide appropriate business support, learning and sharing of best practices, striving for process improvements

•             Ensure compliance with internal control standards and SOX requirements and participate with audits

•             Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Salary: $95000-$115000 with a $10,000 signing bonus

Work Hours:   40+ hours, normally 8AM to 5PM with flexibility

Required Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (preferably Accounting or Finance) or an MBA.
  • 5+ years of related business experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Desired Skills:

  • Cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP including product costing, inventory valuation and fixed assets.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and report on financial performance of operations
  • In-depth knowledge of major financial processes within manufacturing including standard costing, productivity and other cost analysis a plus.
  • A differentiator would be SAP experience including cost center planning, standard costing and production variance analysis.
  • Desire to drive opportunities for productivity
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams with data driven analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

Carestream, in compliance with Colorado EPT Rules is offering a very competitive salary of $_95,000_K-$_115,000_K. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities.
