Position Summary:

Carestream Health has a exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Product Stewardship Manager / Global Chemical Registration Manager at its HQ in downtown Rochester, NY. 

As a member of the WW Environmental, Health and Safety Team, you will provide leadership and support to Carestream project teams to ensure that EHS requirements are met for products put on the global market and for materials used in manufacturing.

Position Responsibilities:

You will be at the leading edge of Carestream’s product portfolio and technical innovation and will have direct impact on business success. As you grow into this role, you will:
•    Employ understanding of world-wide chemical-control regulatory requirements for the manufacture, distribution, and sale of chemical products to help meet regulatory deliverables (RoHS, REACH, TSCA, GHS, etc) within commercialization program timelines.
•    Manage internal requests for SDS, labels and hazard classification.
•    Respond to customer and other external requests related to product restricted materials declarations and hazard communication.
•    Coordinate with third-party consultants, as needed, to enable compliance with global regulations.
•    Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and industry trends to advise project teams on portfolio impact and opportunities.
•    Interpret and communicate regulatory issues that will impact products and business strategies. Coordinate with legal and business resources to develop strategies to address regulatory concerns.
•    Lead efforts to establish and improve EHS work processes.
•    Knowledge of EHS Management System Gensuite/Benchmark is desired but not a requirement. 
•    Knowledge of Environment Sustainability and Governance (ESG) is desired but not a requirement.
 

Required Skills & Education:

• BS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Chemistry or related technical field with strong chemistry knowledge

• 3+ years of relevant product stewardship or chemical regulatory work experience

• Experience or interest in acquiring regulatory knowledge and developing competency with respect to global regulations governing chemical management, chemical hazard communication, chemical use, dangerous goods transportation, and banned/ restricted substances.

• Demonstrated ability of strong problem-solving, logical thinking, and enjoys detective work.

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and drive solutions.  Able to interpret, summarize and communicate complex information to achieve results

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Exhibit leadership through personal responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.

Work Environment:

Office 3 days and Remote 2 days with some flexibility
