Position Summary:

Must be in Rochester, NY - 50/50 (Rochester, NY 1049 Ridge Road Office/Remote). No H1B visa sponsorships please.

As a mid to senior ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - DESIGN ENGINEER - HARDWARE ENGINEER or WIRELESS ENGINEER, will lead and/or support the development of electrical systems for medical imaging equipment. 

Responsibility for hardware design, test, and integration of required electronic systems. This includes identifying electrical technical requirements on projects, estimating resources required to meet those technical requirements, planning the technical effort, and implementing the plan.

Position Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide scope of current product electrical issues.

- Work with supplier on fabrication, test issues, and component obsolescence.

- Perform design documentation.

- Perform design of circuit boards/ high speed layout design.

- Perform design of harnesses / both conventional wire harness and flex harness.

- Integrate prototype designs into system.

- Design of new data path system architectures for Digital Radiographic equipment.

- Develop and review intellectual property.

Required Skills & Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Five plus years' experience within electrical design.

- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills including the use of test equipment. Must be able to isolate electronic board problems to specific components during debug.

- Experienced in Mentor Graphics schematic design tool (component obsolescence and history products).

- Experienced in Altium Designer schematic design tool (new product design and development).

- Knowledge of SPICE analog simulations.

- Experience with wire harness design and documentation. Familiar with design elements including connectors, terminals, wire gauge selection, and heat shrink.

- 50/50 (Rochester, NY 1049 Ridge Road Office/Remote)

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio drawing fundamentals.

- Familiarity with wireless technology.

- A background in motion control.

- A general understanding of medical product regulations and of overall medical product design requirements as they pertain to electrical engineering a plus.
