Compensation $20.86 to $26.00 per hour range depending on experience.
*This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Electrical Technician) to support Carestream Health’s Manufacturing Operations organization. The ideal candidate will be someone with a drive for getting to the bottom of complex issues, someone that can provide technical support for the assembly floor, collaborate with engineering staff on new projects, communicate clearly and effectively, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. This professional will help to bolster our manufacturing support and join our team in delivering high-quality x-ray imaging products to our customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the assembly and testing of x-ray imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot product issues on the manufacturing floor and determine root causes.
- Build and repair test fixtures for use in manufacturing.
- Provide input on changes to the manufacturing process to improve throughput and eliminate defects.
- Investigate escalations relating to tool and equipment issues.
- Own product and process quality on responsible product lines.
Position Expectations:
- This is a full-time, in-person role with typical hours from 7am - 3:30pm.
- The expectation is that this individual will be available while production is running.
Required Skills & Education:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in testing and repairing complex electrical equipment.
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment (meters, scopes, etc.).
- Ability to work safely when maintaining electrical equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities and stay well organized.
- High initiative and sense of urgency compatible with a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of medical imaging equipment.
- Experience operating in a medically regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP or similar MRP applications.
- Experience with manufacturing best practices.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience implementing and debugging test automation.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
