Position Summary:

US&C Digital Financial Analyst Position

Carestream Health is searching for a financial analyst for the Americas Region covering the United States and Canada (US&C).  The US&C Financial Analyst will be a key member of the US&C Finance organization and provide support to the growing Digital business.  Specific responsibilities will include analysis of actual results, projecting near and long-term business performance and identifying initiatives to improve financial and operational performance.  In addition, the financial analyst will work closely with Sales to prepare business case analyses and approve proposed sales transactions.  The financial analyst will interact with senior management within both the US&C region, Corporate and Functional teams.

Position Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze fluctuations between actual results, estimates and annual operating plan (AOP)
  • Participating in monthly closing activities to ensure that results are appropriate under GAAP
  • Interpret and apply financial policies and procedures for the US&C Digital business
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts for the US&C Digital business
  • Provide support to US&C VP of Sales in preparing monthly review with Leadership
  • Financial ownership of the AOP and longer-term forecasts (Market Model)
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to the Digital Sales team, which includes:
    • Approval of pricing exceptions for proposed sales transactions
    • Development and review of business cases for proposed sales transactions, which will include presentation to the price committee
  • Act as business / financial consultant to the Digital US&C regional management team
  • Interface with the US&C Controller and accounting team, Central Marketing PLM Finance team, Corporate Finance team and Operations Finance team amongst others
  • Support various IT initiatives including implementation of reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)

Required Skills & Education:

Educational Requirements and Background:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance,
  •  Strong accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP
  • Financial system knowledge of SAP (or related ERP system) is a plus
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools (Microsoft Access and Power BI a plus)
  • Proven experience with operational financial support and financial data analysis
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill set
