Position Summary:


We are seeking a hands on person with strong Process and Machine Control Technician and electro-mechanical-pneumatic controls with machine repair and troubleshooting experience.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with machine shop experience?  Do you have the skills and abilities to keep manufacturing production running? We'd like to hear from you as an opportunity exists for a maintenance technician to support Carestream Health’s X-ray Systems Design and Manufacturing Organization equipment at its 1049 Ridge Road, Rochester, NY facility. 

Hours: typically 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs daily preventive and demand maintenance tasks for production machinery or facilities.

• Addresses maintenance demands immediately to meet production schedules.

• Reads and interprets equipment and shop manuals to perform required maintenance and service.

• Performs root cause analysis, communicates recommendations and implements solutions that prevent reoccurrence.

• Engages in continuous improvement by making recommendations for modifications to enhance equipment life or productivity.

• Works closely with engineers to determine equipment fault characteristics and makes recommendations or improvements.

• Documents preventive and corrective (demand) maintenance and follows Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Orders parts and supplies in accordance with department procedures.

• Provides support to engineering, facilities maintenance or calibration as directed.

• Provides input and technical support to new projects.

• Reads and interprets prints and schematics.

• Demonstrates good teamwork while working to resolve technical problems.

• Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in wiring.

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

• Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.

• Carries out dues in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA and OSHA.

Required Skills & Education:

• Associates Degree in a trades discipline or equivalent experience

• Strong electro-mechanical-pneumatic controls with machine repair and troubleshooting experience.

• Must have the ability to use a variety of shop and hand tools to complete repairs and assembly tasks.

• Knowledge or experience in mechanical/electrical technologies or automated equipment, machinery and related systems

• Assumes responsibility for the environmental and product effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of problems as they arise.

- Must successfully pass background check, drug test, and onboarding requirements. Carestream is a Federal Contractor.

• Follows site lock-out tag-out requirements while servicing any equipment.

• Maintains work areas and shop in neat and orderly condition.

• Performs other related dues as assigned.
