Compensation salary of $90,000 to $100,000 annually

*This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

 

Carestream Health is seeking an Manufacturing Electrical Engineer (or equivalent) to support manufacturing in a high complexity, low volume Assembly Operation that manufactures Medical X-Ray equipment. Site location is Ridge Road in Greece.

Position Responsibilities:

MUST BE ABLE TO isolate electronic board problems to specific components during debug and also support engineering change management technical details with good problem solving, starting with defining the problem. Must be able to give examples of work experiences.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, troubleshooting electrical issues found during assembly and test, identifying and implementing cost and quality improvement opportunities, managing engineering change activities in support of product and process improvements, identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives, and supporting new product commercialization projects for both hardware and software products.

 

Troubleshoot any PCB or electrical hardware components to determine source of any possible problems and make recommendations to design team.

Required Skills & Education:

•  BSEE degree AND at least 2+ equivalent engineering experience.

• Proven experience picking up new products (software, electrical, mechanical) components.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills, including the use of test equipment.

• Ability to establish work instructions for product assembly and test.

• Ability to identifying product and process improvement opportunities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

• Ability to design test fixtures for assembly and test of product and sub-assemblies.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, Visio.

• Able to manage multiple tasks and good time management skills.

• Able to travel as needed to support project work and Supplier Quality improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Circuit Board fabrication, tooling and test processes.

• Knowledge of Cable and Wire Harness design, fabrication, and test

• Experience with driving Supplier corrective actions.

• Ability to use Lean and Six Sigma tools.

• Experience in identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.

• Understanding of Product Safety and EMC requirements, TUV, UL, CSA, CE, CCC, etc.

• Ability to manage Engineering Change activities in support of new Product launches and Current Product management.

• Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Failure Mode Effects Analysis tools.

• Knowledge of Medical Device regulations and requirements.

• Experience with X-Ray equipment and knowledge of X-Ray regulations.

• RoHS requirements knowledge, experience.
