Compensation $26.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience.
*This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.
Position Summary:
Carestream has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician at its Manufacturing facility located at 1049 Ridge Road, Rochester, NY (Greece, NY).
Position Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing QA functions
- Perform product audits including device functionality and packing
- Follow defined standard operating procedures and work instructions documented in the electronic Quality Management System (QMS)
- Identify potential manufacturing problems or defects and escalate to engineering
- Document identified manufacturing problems or defects
- Review electronic device history records (DHR)
- Participate in troubleshooting with engineering, as needed
- Attend morning market to discuss problems and corrective actions
- Execute QA test plans and document results
- Assist with investigation and resolution of field reported installation issues
- Inspect incoming parts and labels, as needed
- Support Quality Engineers in commercialization activities related to manufacturing quality including but not limited to creating standard work, label verification, and training
- Additional duties as requested
Required Skills & Education:
- High School Diploma, AS degree desirable or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturing quality experience (2+ years)
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Self starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance
- Detail oriented, thorough, and consistently meet deadlines
- Team player, comfortable working and communicating with engineers, technicians, operations, and manufacturing leadership team
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on and learning new computer applications
Desired Skills:
- 2-year technical degree in an engineering discipline, associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in regulated medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime (OT) as needed
- ASQ – Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Work Environment:
Manufacturing facility, labs, warehouse, production and offices
