Position Summary:

 

Carestream has an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Project Manager at its 1049 Ridge Road Rochester, NY manufacturing facility. 

Ideal person will be experienced "hands-on" Engineering PM, Production Supervisor, Process Engineer or similar. 

The skilled Project Manager will lead the execution of Engineering Change Implementation (ECI) and Stage Gate Process by effectively scheduling and coordinating between multiple functions: Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, Safety and Regulatory.

Position Responsibilities:

•             Builds integrated schedules and budgets, working with core team members to establish task durations and dependencies among tasks. 
•             Identifies key stakeholders and understands their expectations for a successful project Review and understand engineering change requests. 
•             Change agent who can lead complex engineering change meetings with confidence and conviction.  
•             Ensure compliance by following good manufacturing practices and adhering to design controls and regulatory standards.
•             Draw upon SAP experience to monitor the status and ensure accuracy of engineering change implementations. 
•             Monitors progress on schedule, budget, and technical output. Drives teams to execute on tasks and deliverables.
•             Coordinate activities across world-wide development and manufacturing sites.
•             Manage the portfolio of manufacturing projects and product implementations to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
•             Develops a sense of urgency when key deliverables are jeopardized. Facilitates problem solving and meetings to address obstacles. 
•             Facilitates communication to key stakeholders on project performance. Conducts project Gate reviews and business team meetings.
•             Manage the implementation of process improvements, using root cause analysis to address issues. 
•             Display excellent communication skills to coordinate collaboration across functions listed above. 
•             Relies on core team member and functional leader expertise when faced with critical decisions. Holds core team members accountable to program commitments.
•             Reduce Customer Order Goods Issue (COGI) errors, improve inventory accuracy metrics, and reduce manufacturing line outs and excess/obsolete inventory that result from ineffective ECI implementations. 
•             Maintain FDA compliance in all related processes.
 

Required Skills & Education:

•            BS degree or equivalent experience in related field.

•             5+ years of Project Management experience, leading projects across multiple functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

•             Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, include MS Project

•             Experience in commercializing products sold and supported world-wide

Desired Skills:

•             PMP or CAPM certification

•             Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)

•             3+ years of SAP experience.

•             Experience in medical equipment manufacturing.

•             Background leading and facilitating cross-functional teams.

•             Strong people and teamwork skills, including managing conflicts.

•             Experience in lean manufacturing.

•             Experience with FDA regulations.
