Position Summary:

This leader is responsible for the execution of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.   This is a hands-on role and will direct efforts to create operational excellence capabilities within R&D and support functions. The focus will be on the implementation and practical application of toolkits and methodologies to help R&D to become best in class.

R&D Continuous Improvement Leader will report to the Head of Productivity and Excellence

Position Responsibilities:

•    Lead/Facilitate teams in the use of tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement 
•    Serves as technical expert on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory and application tools / tactics. 
•    Help define key metrics, benchmarks, and review processes to drive standardization and establish best practices.
•    Continually challenge the status quo and look for improvement opportunities 
 

Required Skills & Education:

•    Bachelor's degree in technology or management.  Advanced degree such as MS/MBA preferred.
•    5+ years of experience in R&D operations or process improvement excellence for a global technology company. 5+  years in project management desired.
•    Understanding of the development lifecycle and product management best practices 
•    Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma and problem-solving techniques. Black Belt Six Sigma or Lean expert certification preferred 
•    Proven hands-on experience facilitating global workshops.
•    Strong organizational skills with excellent interpersonal, communication skills. Competent in presentations at all levels within the organization.
•    Proven experience working in a cross-cultural, multi-national corporation and effective in virtual settings.
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Strong quantitative, analytical, fact-based problem-solving skills and ability to successfully complete complex initiatives.
•    Ability to travel domestically and internationally (25-50%)
 

Desired Skills:

•    Experience in an Imaging or medical device global organization is a plus
