Position Summary:

Responsible for providing Service Engineering technical support to regional service teams, Corrective Action teams and manufacturing. Supports service teams with resolution of complex customer incidents, creates service instructions and provides customer training, owns initiatives to improve reliability and serviceability of existing models.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
•             Lead corrective action and preventative action projects and initiatives to improve reliability and serviceability of existing models
•             Provide data analysis and recommendations for product reliability and service cost efficiency improvement opportunities to corrective action teams.  
•             Evaluate current products to understand major issues affecting product performance using data driven analyses
•             Feedback corrective action findings to CAT (Corrective Actions Team) / CPE (Current Product Engineering) teams to resolve current products problems
•             Enable Regions to be self-sufficient in supporting customers
•             Take the lead on resolving complex service issues escalated from the regional service teams:  gather all pertinent details, analyze them, and solicit assistance as needed to get issues resolved.
•             Foster teamwork, with R&D/CPE, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Regional Specialists
•             Be an advocate for Regional Specialists and Field Engineers with R&D and manufacturing design evaluations of current and new products to continuously improve serviceability of products
•             Identify and resolve potential problems before they become epidemic
•             Communicate resolutions to appropriate resources to allow immediate implementation
•             Assumes responsibility for attaining AOP Installation & Warranty and service agreement goals for product costs
•             Communicates and coordinates the Worldwide service launch for current product upgrades
•             Hold regular communication for knowledge sharing with regional and global service teams through meetings, workshops, newsletters and email communications
•             Populate appropriate communication tools to provide timely communication to field and customers 
•             Maintain current product service and support documentation. 

Required Skills & Education:

 •            BS in Engineering discipline degree or 10 years of equivalent Engineering experience.
•             5+ years of experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and problem solving, preferably working on medical equipment.
•             Experience analyzing data to monitor and identify product reliability issues

Preferred Additional Skills:

•             Experience supporting X-ray medical equipment
•             Lean Six Sigma Certified
•             Must be self-motivated, self-directed and results oriented
•             Strong organizational skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
•             Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects 
•             Ability to adapt easily to change and be capable of effectively dealing with stressful working situations and conditions
•             Demonstrates an understanding of project management concepts through effective participation on teams and assignments
•             Demonstrates ability to appropriately focus on one or more projects and keep them prioritized
•             Effectively interacts with people across organizations around the world
•             Continues to build understanding of business and a sense of technical and business context for own work.
•             Shows ability to teach and mentor others in the service community
•             Proficient computer skills
•             Team player required to interact and contribute with cross functional team members and travel (when necessary)
•             Outstanding presentation, verbal and written communication skills, strong technical writing skills
•             Proficient in MS Office
