Currently, we are looking for passionate System Engineer that would like to join our Rochester, NY team.

The Systems Engineer coordinates and leads efforts in Requirements Management and Planning for both existing and developing products/processes.  The person in this role uses experiences that encompass several areas of engineering including but not limited to electronics, mechanical/systems design, reliability, software/cybersecurity, statistics, or other related fields.  Duties may include investigation, evaluation, development, and application of new components and/or features into products.  This Engineer also needs to enjoy continuous learning, teaching, and mentoring.

The Systems Engineer will use appropriate project planning, troubleshooting, lean manufacturing, and design tools to drive product, process, and quality improvements throughout the product/process development cycle.  As part of a broader team, this person will ensure that project deliverables are met in an efficient manner and documented as required.

Required Skills & Education:

  • BA/BS in Chemical/Materials/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar
  • Experience level:  10+ years in product/process development environment 
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States
  • Systems design and engineering, including Quality Systems and Processes
  • Hardware product development, design, and validation
  • Project management, statistical methods, and experimental design

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred advanced degree in Chemical/Materials/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar
  • Black Belt certification, Lean – Agile experiences
  • Software / Firmware experiences including familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Cybersecurity
  • Program or project management certification
  • Technical writing competency
