Position Summary:

This position provides technical support to the applications and databases managed by Legal/Compliance/Patent.  The analyst ensures the applications function properly in support of the Carestream business.  Working closely with IT, users and vendors, this position provides technical support that CSH IT and application vendors do not provide.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and third-party applications, managing all aspects of business-critical applications: issue resolution, root cause analysis, preventative measures, interaction with users, documentation and training, providing answers to user questions.  Applications include: Upside contract management system, IP Manager, Power BI contract reporting. 
  • Monitor and update databases for data integrity.  Identify recurring errors and devise preventive actions to minimize downtime.  Create custom queries and reports.
  • Assist department staff with software installations, liaise with software vendors for support, remedy hardware/software issues, coordinate general IT requests.
  • Maintain the Legal Department SharePoint site by updating as needed, in adherence to company standards.
  • Implement application updates, patches, and new releases.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the general purpose of the position’s function.

Required Skills & Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent 
  • 2+ years of experience 
  • Database management, design, programming languages and administration.
  • Experience with SQL, VBA, XML, and .NET framework.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Manager Studio, Subversion, PowerBI, Microsoft Office, SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently, or in a group setting, to anticipate, plan, prioritize and organize workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with department staff and worldwide system users.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with C#, HTML, PowerShell, JavaScript
  • Experience with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Visual Studio, Winshuttle, Microsoft Visio
  • Three-tier software application architecture.
  • Understanding of Windows servers in an Azure environment, including IIS, Document, and SQL server management.
  • Knowledge of business process terminology.
