Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and organizational leadership for the worldwide User Centered Design Team that researches, defines, communicates, and delivers world class user experiences for the Imaging Systems product portfolio
  • Responsible for the look-and-feel, workflow, and visual design of the various system software and product platforms
  • Ensure the UX Design meets customer, business, and technical requirements
  • Represent the user perspective by ensuring strong UX design is injected into all stages of product development; orchestrates design activities throughout release lifecycles
  • Work to improve the overall technology vision, usability, optimal workflow, usefulness, and desirability of our systems and software
  • Ensure Voice of Customer (VOC) activities are planned, executed, and drive decision making
  • Apply appropriate human-centered design practices with proven expertise in UX Design, UI Design, Visual Design, and Human Factors of multi-national applications and products
  • Manage a team of ~3 UX Design Engineers

Required Skills & Education:

  • BS or MS (preferred) in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or other related discipline (e.g. Industrial Design, Ergonomics, or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of related experience developing complex system software UX/UI including experience managing or leading teams with a proven track record of meeting schedule and quality commitments
  • 2+ years experience leading or managing small teams
  • Expert in the use of contemporary UX/UI design, project management and software development tools (e.g. Axure RP, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Knowledge of best practices and experience in user centered design, software system engineering,  software design, software development
  • The ability to perform rapid prototyping and quickly turn around wire frames and mockups in an agile development environment
