Position Summary:
This position is a full time position for nights, shift coverage. 40-60 HRS /12 HR shifts. Working a 4 crew schedule. Edited 2/21/2023
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for the reliability, repair, and maintenance of all production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate would be certified as full journeyman in Industrial Maintenance Repair but anyone with a strong mechanical aptitude is encouraged to apply. Additional responsibilities include new equipment installations, maintaining of established preventive and predictive maintenance programs, driving safety & quality, and optimizing plant efficiency.
Position Responsibilities:
• Preventative Maintenance: Follow instructions and procedures on PM’s, and fix problems found. Add or delete information to make the PM more pertinent to the task.
• Able to troubleshoot many problems and develop recommendations with other personnel (senior mechanics, engineers). Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all failures in any equipment or system providing root cause and documenting on how to prevent future failures.
• Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of automated mechanical equipment.
• Lead or assist in the development, installation, and repair of power transmission systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, ductwork, machine structure, guarding, indexers, cam systems, valves, pulleys, gearboxes, belts, conveyor components, couplings, and shafts and bearings.
Required Skills & Education:
• This position is a full time position for nights, shift coverage. Must be able to work the shift: 40-60 hrs week/12-hour shifts (7pm-7am).
The ideal candidate would be certified as full journeyman in Industrial Maintenance Repair but anyone with a strong mechanical aptitude is encouraged to apply. • Demonstrated troubleshooting effectiveness. A strong ability to locate and diagnose equipment failures and ensure timely corrective action.
• Ability to work independently; highly self-motivated, self-directed, and be results oriented.
• Must have a desire to contribute and work in a team environment (lead and interact with operations, maintenance, technical/engineering, and management)
• Constant awareness of updated safety requirements and reinforces importance with others.
• Perform predictive and operational procedures.
Desired Skills:
• Oregon state classification as a Journeyman Millwright or equivalent is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, certification, and related work experience will also be considered.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills to write maintenance and corrective action procedures.
• Familiar in use of equipment including: lathes, drill presses, grinders and belt sanders, vertical band saw, horizontal band saw, milling machines, chop saws, oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutter, tig welder, mig welder, and stick welder.

Compensation
$23.00/hour to $32.00/hour depending on experience. Normal range is $23 to $28.. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities.
