Position Summary:

The Industrial Mechanic that will support the Carestream Health Group's Sensitizing process. The automated equipment is for the manufacturing of products for Traditional X-ray and display films. Primary work will be Electrical & Mechanical trouble shooting, repairs. Types of equipment included but are not limited to the following. All types of electric motors, electric heaters, electronic drives, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), process electrical, building power & lighting, process pumps, valves, mixers as well as some piping repairs.  Successful candidate will be a self-starter needing little day to day supervision or direction.

Position Responsibilities:

•General: mechanical, instrumentation diagnosis and repair; Demonstrates knowledge and application in specialized skills and technologies (e.g., PLC, pneumatics, pumps, SAP, instrumentation, HVAC, testing equipment, etc.)

•Diagnose and repair of equipment to root cause utilizing analytical troubleshooting skills/tools

•Assist in planned shutdown events

•Order/repair spare parts

•Partner with the technical/engineering community to improve the process

•Manage multiple tasks effectively, adapts quickly and effortlessly to changing business and working conditions, and capable of effectively managing stress

•Desire to participate and contribute to a team environment

•Performs routine inspections/PM's

•Timely response to manufacturing needs (e.g., off-hour call-ins when available)

•Seeks out and creates learning / training opportunities for self and others

Required Skills & Education:

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing/industrial environment or technical school certified.

• Must be able to work 40+ Mon - Thurs. 12 Hours/Rotating shifts (7-7pm/ 7-7am day/night weekly rotation)

• Ability to troubleshoot routine and complex process and equipment problems to root cause in a timely fashion

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Commitment to working safely, and a willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate shutdown and other business needs.

• Must be able to successfully pass drug test and background checks.

• Must be able to work rotating shifts in our manufacturing environment.

• Must comply with all EHS policies and procedures.

Desired Skills:

• Trade School experience preferred

• PLC troubleshooting skills

Work Environment:

Loud noise level, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to chemicals, very loud noise level, vibrations, work in high, precarious places, work near moving mechanical parts.  Work involves walking in reduced light/darkroom conditions.

Compensation: $24.00 - 28.88/hr Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual salaries will vary and may be above the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This range and benefits may be modified in the future.
