Position Summary:
Join our team of Support Mechanics at Carestream Windsor, Colorado manufacturing facilities.
Position Responsibilities:
A new opportunity exists for a I&E Manufacturing Technician/Mechanic to join Carestream Health Group's, Innovative Polyester Manufacturing process. Innovative Polyester manufactures flexible polyester substrates for medical imaging and electronic displays. The I&E Manufacturing Technician/Mechanic will join a team of maintenance professionals responsible for quickly resolving and reducing all interruptions to the manufacturing process.
The support maintenance mechanic will join a team of maintenance professionals responsible for quickly resolving and reducing all interruptions to the manufacturing process. This position will support the engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
•Follow Carestream values and policies
•Complete preventive and predictive maintenance work orders for building and assist shift mechanics
•Timely response and resolution of all manufacturing interruptions, trouble calls (e.g., off-hour call-ins when available)
•Actively partners with operations, maintenance and engineering communities to lead process improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, increase productivity, and deliver business objectives
•Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principals including (5S, visual factory, 6 Sigma, and Kaizen)
•Creates: Preventive Maintenance Procedures (PM), Work Instructions (WI), Corrective Action Guidelines (CAG's), Special Instructions (SI), and Change Management Reviews (CMR's) to effectively lead, communicate, and sustain process improvements
•Self-starter capable of taking ownership of personal training to acquire the skills necessary to get the job done
•Manages multiple tasks effectively while adapting quickly to changing business and working conditions; capable of effectively managing stressful situations.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills while performing active listening. Including the ability to summarize information into reports and presentations creating a general understanding of any situation.
•Provides a positive influence on others through actions and behaviors and handles issues to create a win-win situation
•Committed to leading and demonstrating safe work practices, and a willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate plant outages and other business needs
Required Skills & Education:
- Must have HS Diploma or GED.
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing/industrial environment or technical school certified.
- Experience working with pneumatic tools such as, air drills, torque multipliers, air hoists, and standard tools for example common hand tools.
- Strong ability for attention to detail and for prioritizing work.
- Must be able to work 40+ Mon - Thurs. 12 Hours/Rotating shifts (7-7pm/ 7-7am day/night weekly rotation)
- Ability to troubleshoot routine and complex process and equipment problems to root cause in a timely fashion
- Good written and oral communication skills
- The candidate must be safety conscious and aware of the hazards of the job. Including a strong understanding of lockout/tag out policies/procedures and all PPE necessary for the job.
- Willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate shutdown and other business needs.
- Must comply with all EHS policies and procedures.
Desired Skills:
Strong mechanical and technical and working knowledge of process equipment and technologies

Compensation
$23.00/hour to 28.00/hour depending on experience. This position is eligible for an quarterly bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities. This is a good faith estimate for this position only and is pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay will vary and may be above the listed payrate based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
