Position Summary:

A new opportunity exists for a Support Mechanic to join Carestream Health Group's, Innovative Polyester Manufacturing process. Innovative Polyester manufactures flexible polyester substrates for medical imaging and electronic displays.

The support maintenance mechanic will join a team of maintenance professionals responsible for quickly resolving and reducing all interruptions to the manufacturing process. This position will support the engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.

Compensation: $ 23.00-28.88/hr with a $1.50/hr shift differential. This position is eligible for a quarterly bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities. Position Responsibilities:

•Follow Carestream values and policies

•Complete preventive and predictive maintenance work orders for building and assist shift mechanics

•Timely response and resolution of all manufacturing interruptions, trouble calls (e.g., off-hour call-ins when available)

•Actively partners with operations, maintenance and engineering communities to lead process improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, increase productivity, and deliver business objectives

•Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principals including (5S, visual factory, 6 Sigma, and Kaizen)

•Creates: Preventive Maintenance Procedures (PM), Work Instructions (WI), Corrective Action Guidelines (CAG's), Special Instructions (SI), and Change Management Reviews (CMR's) to effectively lead, communicate, and sustain process improvements

•Self-starter capable of taking ownership of personal training to acquire the skills necessary to get the job done

•Manages multiple tasks effectively while adapting quickly to changing business and working conditions; capable of effectively managing stressful situations.

•Excellent oral and written communication skills while performing active listening. Including the ability to summarize information into reports and presentations creating a general understanding of any situation.

•Provides a positive influence on others through actions and behaviors and handles issues to create a win-win situation

•Committed to leading and demonstrating safe work practices, and a willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate plant outages and other business needs

Desired Skills:

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and peripherals, HMIs, motor drives, 4-20mA field devices, instrumentation, and HVAC, Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic, PLC and Drive experience.

Required Skills & Education:

•12 hour rotating shift schedule (40+ 12 hrs per shift; 7:00 pm to 7:00 am; 5/2 work shift rotation)

•High School Diploma or GED

•Strong mechanical and technical and working knowledge of process equipment and technologies including: Pipe fitting, Utilities equipment (steam, compressed air, water), welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, rollers and bearings, fans, pumps, mixers, valves, flow meters.

Desired Skills:

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and peripherals, HMIs, motor drives, 4-20mA field devices, instrumentation, and HVAC, Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic, PLC and Drive experience.
